Hello all Sporting CT members, 


We are excited to reach out to you all about a highly recommended additional training opportunity through one of our very own coaches, Coach Dylan. Coach Dylan works as a Strength & Conditioning Coach outside of Sporting CT, both at Southern CT St University as well as a small private training facility in Southington. Here is some info from Coach Dylan: 


Over the last 8-9 months, many of our 2007 girls and various other Sporting players have been doing additional training in the gym. They have seen good progress throughout the winter, spring, & so far this summer. This summer, the Sports Performance facility I coach at & they have been training at will be offering the Sporting players a 2x/week training option for 1hr each session. Normally, we wouldn’t offer a 2x a week option in the summer but we wanted to offer this as a reward for the players that have been training with us and we hope more players can capitalize on this training opportunity. This training is recommended for 2010 groups and older to prepare for their fall seasons with the club or high school. 



  • With an average of 12 weeks of training, the 15 players showed that over the 4 months of 2x/week training that they were able to average an improvement in:

    •  their vertical jump height by nearly 2 inches 

    • their sprint speed by half a MPH

    • their single leg lower body strength by 16.5 lbs




Time slots are at 9am, 10am, 11am, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 6pm. Training sessions last 60 minutes long and we will be working on speed, agility, strength, power, and endurance to build an all-around better athlete.

The cost will be $135 for 2x/week training for a month (4 weeks, 8 sessions). We’ve got limited training slots left so it will be first come first serve.
