During his junior year in high school, Mike Moylan as a part of a project thought of creating a catalog that only sold the best soccer cleats and jerseys from around the world. It was Mike’s mom who actually came up with the name, Eurosport. The first Eurosport catalog was mailed in the fall of 1984. It was 24 pages and the first mailing went to 6,000 soccer players and friends. In 1994, the company joined a fledgling world wide web and launched SOCCER.COM.SOCCER.COM has grown well beyond that high school project. It has become the largest soccer specialty retailer in the world, but it is still a family owned business and Mike and Brendan are still very involved.
